Introduction


The steel pipe shot blasting machine is a highly efficient and environmentally friendly surface treatment device designed specifically for cleaning the surfaces of various steel pipes (such as welded pipes, seamless pipes, and other workpieces). It mechanically uses a high-speed stream of projectiles to impact the surface of the steel pipe, thoroughly removing scale, rust, welding slag, dirt, etc. on the surface, improving its fatigue resistance and providing a clean surface with good adhesion (reaching Sa2.5 level or higher) for subsequent spraying processes. It is mainly suitable for steel pipes or bars with a diameter of 20-6000 mm.


How It Works


The steel pipe shot blasting machine operates through an efficient closed-loop system:


Loading: The steel pipe to be processed is smoothly fed into the shot blasting chamber via a loading mechanism (such as a roller conveyor or chain).


Cleaning: The steel pipe rotates at a constant speed within the shot blasting chamber, ensuring uniform surface treatment. The shot blaster at the heart of the machine rotates at high speed, projecting steel shot (projectiles) onto the inner and outer surfaces of the steel pipe with extremely high kinetic energy and precise angles. The powerful impact instantly removes scale and rust.


Shot Sweeping And Discharge: The cleaned steel pipe is conveyed out of the shot blasting chamber, where a dedicated shot sweeping mechanism removes any remaining shot from the surface. The pipe is then transported via a discharge roller conveyor to the next process (such as spraying).


Shot Recycling And Separation: The ejected shot, impurities, and dust removed are collected by components such as screw conveyors and bucket elevators. The mixed material passes through an air separation separator, where intact shot is automatically recovered and fed back into the shot blasting machine for recycling, while broken shot and dust are separated.


Dust Removal: The dust generated during the cleaning process is captured and collected by an efficient dust removal system (usually a cartridge dust collector), ensuring that emissions meet environmental standards and keeping the workshop environment clean.
